Hormonal Change during Menopause:
Serum Estrogen Level decrease

These result in hormonal imbalance and mood fluctuations.

Mood swings and depresssion occur due to a decrease in estrogen levels with the onset of menopause. 10% of women nearing menopause experience significant depression.

Symptoms of Menopause:
Hot flash
Trouble sleeping

Due to decrease in estrogen levels, you may also experience:
Sudden heat sensation and sweatng on the face and upper body (hot flushes)

Therefore, do not panic!! There are methods such as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to help reducing the symptoms.  Wink

Anyone heard about menopausal spotting?  It’s when you experience a few drops of random bleeding. This can be blood spots or some brownish spots. It is common that women who have reached the peak of menopause might experience this form of vaginal bleeding.

Menopause is defined as the cessation of menstruation as a result of the normal decline in ovarian function. Some symptoms of menopause are irritability,  mood swings, sudden tears, trouble sleeping, crashing fatigue, difficulty concentrating, disorientation, mental confusion, depression, weight gain etc..

Menopause is a natural event that normally occurs between the ages of 45 and 55. It is defined as having had 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. It is sometimes called, "the change of life and is characterized in stages - early menopause, perimenopause and post menopause. It is more likely to occur at a slightly earlier age in women who smoke, have never been pregnant, or live at high altitudes. It is neither an illness nor a disease, it is only another natural phase in a woman's life we often picture it as a time of decline; a time when a woman and those near her, notice physical and emotional changes. It is a natural process that occurs because of a decrease in the function of the ovaries, which also control oestrogen production.

Menopause is simply the name given to the last menstrual period, but for most women it means much more than this. These are done because of  the supply of ovarian follicles and eggs was significantly reduced when approaching it.

Menopause usually occurs 12 months after the last menstrual period. It is a biological natural process and obviously not an illness as what others think. What causes this physical changes? Hormonal changes causes physical symptoms of menopause but age is the main reason why women experience menopausal period. The woman's ovaries are less functioning when reached the right year to end their childbearing years that is why this thing occurs.

Menopause will not make you less woman when it comes to femininity and sexuality, but instead can make you more liberal when it comes to sexual intimacy because you won't be worrying much about pregnancy and monthly periods. Also, the end of menstrual periods does not conclude that your time is near as what most beliefs are suggesting. You still have half of your life to enjoy.
