For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

Oh, I love to drink cold water. I really hate it whenever I drink water or other beverage that is not cold. And then I read this, got me worried a bit. We have no proof if this is true, but I guess it won't harm me if I lessen my cold water intake.

It slows digestion and once the clay reacts with the acid, then breaks down and the intestine is absorbed faster than solid foods. Then, line the intestine and soon will become fat and lead to cancer.

Only thing in drinking cold water is our body does not expend calories to cold water. But drinking cold beverages  might not be harmful to that extent .

When cold water is applied to the surface of the body arouses and stimulates the circulation all over the system. Also, cold water drives the blood with increased force through the system, it flushes the capillaries in the tissues and cleanses them from the accumulations of morbid matter and poisons which are one of the primary causes of acute and chronic diseases.

Good point about the inflammation. I guess the horses don't mind the cold water -- or maybe the pain from the inflammation is worse than the pain from the cold water.

When I'm a child , my mother always told me that don't drink cold water , and it contains so many germs , and be harmful to my body . But when I grow up , I found when drinking cold water in summer, it will get me comfortable for a while , but after that , I will get a stomach ahche. So from my life experience , cold water is not good for our health.
