About metformin!

I use metformin but the sugar level not in the range. My doctor suggested to increase metformin.

Is it still metformin good to use as anti-diabetic drug?
Is there any new drugs that more consistent than metformin?

Metformin is used to control the blood sugar level and to treat people with type 2 diabetes.  I think, sometimes it can also used in combination with insulin or other medications. This is more effective to control diabetes. But I want to tell you that, please concern your doctor before using Metformin in combination with insulin.

Metformin alone is a weak anti-diabetic. I am using it in combination with Galvus or Diamicron. Anyway, insulin is still the best!!!

What is your HbA1C?
