Don't feel sad. We need to find out courses of you being unable to conceive first. Some courses are treatable. May I ask you a few questions?

1. What is your weight and height?
2. Is your menses regular?
3. Have you or your husband done any test to find out reasons of you not able to conceive?
4. How frequent you have sex with your husband?
5. Do you have any medical illnes like diabetes etc.?

If your menses is regular monthly, you must make sure you have sex with your husband during the fertile period. Fertile period is the period between the 11th day since the first day of your menses to 16th day provided that you have your menses every month and is regular.

does your husband have any sexual problem?

My husband has normal erection and ejaculation.
I am obese. My BMI is 38. I do have irregular menses. I have sex with my husband 3 times per week. We have been trying very hard for the past few years. Anyone have any idea what problem/s we have? What should we do?

Seems that you are having a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). In this condition, there is combination of irregular menses (oligomenorrhoea), obesity, inferility and sometimes diabetes. You need to get your hormoanl profile done i.e. your FSH/LH ratio, serum prolactin, serum testosterone and day 21 progesterone. Also, it is important for your husband to have his seminal fluid analysed to rule out condition like reduced sperm count or abnormal sperm morphology.

At the same time, you need to put in effort to lose weight. You need to check you blood sugar to se if you have diabetes. You also need to do blood tests for other condition like hyperthyrodism and hypothyroidism and connective tissue diseases like SLE.

Please consult your doctor soon!  Smiley

Infertility may be due to hormonal problems, weight problems, environmental stress, unhealthy lifestyle, genetics and so many other factors that can cause infertility.  Two of the most reasons why people suffered from infertility are due to hormonal imbalance and obesity.  Try to visit a medical expert on how to deal with the problem.
