Food allergies or food intolerances affect nearly everyone at some point. People often have an unpleasant reaction to something they ate and wonder if they have a food allergy. One out of three people either say that they have a food allergy or that they modify the family diet because a family member is suspected of having a food allergy. But only about 3% of children have clinically proven allergic reactions to foods. In adults, the prevalence of food allergy drops to about 1% of the total population.

This difference between the clinically proven prevalence of food allergy and the public perception of the problem is in part due to reactions called "food intolerances" rather than food allergies. A food allergy, or hypersensitivity, is an abnormal response to a food that is triggered by the immune system. The immune system is not responsible for the symptoms of a food intolerance, even though these symptoms can resemble those of a food allergy.

It is extremely important for people who have true food allergies to identify them and prevent allergic reactions to food because these reactions can cause devastating illness and, in some cases, be fatal.

I've had experience mistaking food intolerance with food allergy before, and my friend recommended "Histame" capsules and it really helped me a lot. It relieved me of the headaches, and other symptoms that caused me too much discomfort."Histame" capsules and it really helped me a lot. Medical experts must study or create a new formulation to prevent food allergies.

One should know his/her medical history so that one can trace if he/she has any allergy on particular food.

These are the foods cause the most food allergies:

    * peanuts and other nuts
    * seafood, such as shrimp
    * milk, particularly cow's milk
    * eggs
    * soy
    * wheat
if you have a food allergy, your immune system mistakenly treats something in a certain food as if it's really dangerous to you.

The same sort of thing happens with any allergy, whether it's a medicine (like penicillin), pollen in the air (from flowers and trees), or a food, like peanuts. So the thing itself isn't harmful, but the way your body reacts to it is.

The main reason that this health issue is so challenging is the very fact that it does not have any identified cause. When it comes to allergies, almost anything can be a culprit. Here are some suggestions to avoid allergies:

- Recognize your allergy triggers.
- Stay indoors as much as possible on days that forecast poor air quality.
- Wash your hands after coming in from outdoors.
- Clean your house thoroughly to eliminate dust mites.
- Replace carpeting with hardwood flooring if possible.
