Obesity is now one of the world's major silent killers. Sad to say, lots of people have not become on this, or they are aware about it but just didn't pay too much attention over the adverse effects with being obese. As mentioned earlier, this can lead to heart-related problems, diabetes and some bone diseases. In other words, obesity can negatively affect one's longevity.

Ok, I will tell you what I know...

If you are obese, of course it means that
there will be excess fat in your body.

Consequently, your neck will also have
more tissues that it can block your airway
every time you breathe.

If you sleep, you will snore because the
excess fat hinders the air and your throat muscles
become relax (that causes vibration).

So, that is why people who snore are advised
to lose some pounds.

What amanda said was right too. Obesity can
cause so many disease. So, maintain your
ideal weight :-)
