long term effects of anti hypertensive drugs

Now a days it's so hard to be in a rush before my physician would preescribe me any drugs. As much as possible I would like to gather information about the long term effects of anti hypertensive drugs.

Problems with sexual function have been a long-standing concern in the treatment of hypertension. It may influence the choice of treatment regimens and decisions to discontinue drugs.

Weight gain and diet can contribute to hypertension. The best way to treat it is first with lifestyle changes and then if necessary, go to medications. Some drugs lead to tolerance, meaning you'll have to up the dose in the future. Good luck!
