Diabetes and UTI in Pregnancy. Which symtom is most specific?

Hi there, just share with you what I have learnt from my specialist today.

We always ask for history of dysuria and urinary frequency to diagnose UTI in pregnancy. But these symptoms are not specific as they can happen in normal pregnant women. The most specific symptom is NOCTURIA!! Remember this. Same goes for diabetes in pregnancy. NOCTURIA is the most specific symptom instead of polyuria and polydipsia which can happen normally in pregnancy.
