This morning, my consultant taught me how to recognise uterine rupture:
Maternal signs:General:1. Pallor
2. Tachycardia
3. Hypotension
Abdomen1. Scar tenderness
2. Cessation of uterine contraction
3. Easily palpable foetal parts
Per-vaginal examination1. Station regression
2. per-vaginal bleed
3. Haematuria
Foetal Signs1. Feotal tachycardia (initially)
2. Subsequently, signs of foetal distress.
