maximum dosage: 600mcg daily

occasional unintentional extra dose is unlikely to cause problems
large overdose may cause drowsiness or a drop in blood pressure

side effects are:
common: dry mouth, headache, weakness or fatigue
less common: dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, rash and sleep disturbance
Thanks.

I sometimes feel fatigue or sleep disturbance.....how can I know if this is due to my workload or is it the side effects?

Well, very difficult to tell

140/80mmHg is ok. Seems that your blood pressure is stabalised around this range. Please continue your regular follow-ups and take your medicines as told by your doctors.
All the best to you!

oddpapa. Please start a new topic in "Hypertension" board if you have further questions regarding your condition. I think our discussions have gone offtopic for this topic: "understanding hypertension" Smiley

Hello!

Now I want to talk about:
Questions you have to Ask Your Doctor about Hypertension

If you have high blood pressure and are being treated for hypertension, good communication between you and your doctor is vital. Your doctor will most likely review with you everything you need to know about your condition. Still, make sure you know the answers to the following questions.

    * What is my blood pressure?
    * What should my blood pressure be?
    * How much should I weigh?
    * Can you recommend a diet or eating plan to help me reach that weight?
    * What kind of diet should I be following to help control my blood pressure?
    * How much exercise should I be doing?
    * What is the name of my blood pressure medication?
    * What are the side effects of this medication?
    * What drug interactions may occur between the medications I am taking?

Watch this video.

I hope it si useful.

Hello!

Just want to share this some small info.

Blood Pressure is usually expressed as systolic/diastolic. the normal range for the blood pressure in a normal, healthy young adult is 90 to 140 for the systolic and 60 to 90 for the diastolic. persistent readings above 140/90 represents a degree of High Blood Pressure (hypertension). many factors can cause a person's blood pressure to be abnormally high. some of the most common factors are: obesity or overweight, smoking, heredity, and psychological stress. Embarrassed >.<
