Beware of those things that trigger the condition.

When Symptoms Occur Mainly Outdoors:

Try to limt outdoor activities. In particular, try not to disturb any decaying plant material such as leaves or grasses.

When Symptoms Occur Mainly Indoor:

1. Shut the windows (in the house or car) on days when pollen or mold counts are known to be high.

2. Remove the source of any allergen (a pet, smoke. etc.)

3. Use High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) air-conditioning filters for removing pollen and mold. (Note: these do not filter dust mites)

4. Reduce humidity in your house by reducing the setting on your humidifier.

5. Repair damp basements, vent all bathrooms and reduce the number of houseplants in your home.

6. Keep the home clean and dust free to reduce the amount of allergens in the air. (A cycler vacuum is recommended and bags should be changed regularly.)

7. Use allergy-safe (hypoallergenic) covers on all the pillows and mattresses.

Hope these help Smiley

The goal of rhinitis treatment is to reduce the symptoms caused by the inflammation of affected tissues. In cases of allergic rhinitis, the most effective way to decrease allergic symptoms is to completely avoid the allergen.[9][10] Vasomotor rhinitis can be brought under a measure of control through avoidance of irritants, though many irritants, such as weather changes, are uncontrollable.
