Giving women a type of epidural jab to relieve pain in the early stages of labour does not increase the odds of a Caesarean section, research suggests.
I would appreciate some opinions about epidural during labour...or some experiences Wink

It is a very effective way of anasthesia and avoid youthe risk of general anasthesia! It can be used for PCA (patient-controled anagesia) after operation.

Regarding the risks involved, compared to generalanasthesia and spinal anaesthesia,epidural anaesthesia is relatively safe.

epidural is the most popular means for pain relief during labour. but then, there are also some disadvantages with this kind of procedure.  here are some side effects: shivering, ringing of the ears, backache, soreness where the needle is inserted, nausea, or difficulty urinating.
