Hey anyone interested in doing a little background search into the Malaysian Healthcare system so the rest of us could have a better idea?
ie who pays the bill? where are the tertiary/ teaching hospitals and the specialties/ services available? other allied health services ie OT , PT, social work, paramedics...

I am from Pakistan currently working in the UK. I am always interested in knowing healthcare systems in other countries. I hope my colleagues from Malaysia will post here soon! Smiley

To provide health care changes to a much vagaried population here in Malaysia not to mention health care staff. Well, they appeared to have zeroed in onto a few points and appear to be here to rubber stamp proposals by the same officials from the MOH who put us into our predicament in the first place. Government hospitals are today seen as giant, and on quite a few occasions, crumbling mortuaries with babies getting mixed up, dengue patients dying days later with no treatment, specialists who cannot string a proper sentence in English and of course now the home of the infamous petrolless ambulances.
