Hello every one!

My friend told me that when somebody is doing split (of legs) the femoral head is getting out from the acetabulum, more or less like this:

Is it true?

I'm not a medic, I don't even know English well so please use simple language. Smiley
Thanks!

Yes. But in order to do that, it must be very traumatic or the hip joint has some congenital abnormaly because the hip joint is quite a stable joint.

Thank you.
When I'm doing exercises to do split I don't feel very strong pain - just typical, and I didn't have any problems with my hip joint in my life, so can I be calm about it? (That nothing like this on the picture will happen?)

I don't think you should be worried too much as hip dislocation is very painful. Most likely what you are having is just some soft tissue injury like ligament sprain. Mild anagesic like paracetamol or diclofenac sodium should work for you. Smiley

Physical pain is not the problem for me, much worse is that psychical vision that my thigh bone can get out from the hip if I exercise. Smiley So I just fear to exercise. But if it's not common and it appears with strong pain - it looks like I don't need to worry. Smiley I will be worried if I experience strong pain. Smiley

Thank you!

If there's anything more to say about it I'm all ears. Smiley

Well said, kkmalaysia. Kapsoq, you should rest some rest before you continue the sport. Yes, there is nothing to stop you from doing that. Smiley

Please feel free to post in this forum whenever you have any question or to share any experience with us.

Take care. Smiley

Thank you very much. Smiley

I'm a begginer so I just fear about the future. Smiley Now the only pain I feel is this standard, in my opinion, pain while doing exercices. I worried that if I make some progress in split this hip joint thing my friend told me can happen. And I don't want this because it's just horrible. Tongue Wink

But now I see that there's no possibility that thigh bone get out of the acetabulum without a special bad incident or inborn defect - if I understood properly your words. Smiley

Bone hip bone dislocation.  The best way is to consult for medical experts to find any procedures a soon as possible. It could be due to rapid movement,or bone cell problems.
