Genetically Modified (GM) Food

I am a great supporter of genetically modified food. Some said it can affect the health adversely. But in my opinion, when they are digested in our stomach, they will turn into nutrients like other food. In that case how can GM Food affect our health? Unless they contain some carcinogens or toxins. What do you think?
