Major branches of yoga in Hindu philosophy include R?ja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga.[7][8][9] According to the authoritative Indian philosopher Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, yoga, based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, comprises one of the six main Hindu schools of philosophy (darshanas), together with Kapila's Samkhya, Gautama's Nyaya, Kanada's Vaisheshika, Jaimini's Purva Mimamsa, and Badarayana's Uttara Mimamsa or Vedanta.[10] Many other Hindu texts discuss aspects of yoga, including the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Shiva Samhita and various Tantras.

For me, yoga calms the mind and it keeps the balance in someone's being. If the mind is calm, everything else will follow, including the body and the actions of a person.

Despite that my toenails hurt, I still attended a Body Balance session just out for the curiosity of it. I was surprised that most of its poses are from yoga.

I quit my yoga classes last month because I had a hard time balancing my pose. Right now, I am into Martial Arts which I am very comfortable at. Although yoga is a good thing for stretching and flexibility, but i find it boring.

As per my knowledge, yoga refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines that originated in India. The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "Yuj" meaning to yoke, join or unite. Here are some benefits doing yoga regularly:

- Flexibility
- Better Breathing
- Mental Calmness
- Stress Reduction
- Pain Prevention
