If you have an MD from a nationally recognized medical school in 'most' countries in the world, you can become licensed to practice medicine in the USA by doing a few classes to cover subjects that are different - such as pharmacology - and then passing the medical licensing exams.Because USA and Canada wants educated slave labors. It's not crazy. North Americans are very suspicious of the universities and licensing bodies in ramshackle third world countries, whether sometimes are riots for the right to cheat on exams, as in India.I call your attention to the case the notorious doctor who went from India to Australia, then botched a series of operations, leading to the deaths of many patients. We simply do not trust the licensing associations in such countries.

Well for me, the USA and Canada should accept third world medical doctors and other professionals. Because USA and Canada can need the help of those doctors especially in medical problems. But maybe it depends on their government.

I do think so, with rising costs, if we have more doctors in the country, that might bring down the cost of treatment due to competition.
