Hi I haven't quite got over the cold.
It comes and goes so all I can do is deal with the symptons.
I am tired and a bit stressed but always thinking of you all.
Just need to get decent rest and I should be back on track.

I don't understand what G6PD is so I feel funny saying anything..
BUT if he is saying that a female can not get the thal gene like a boy....
then something's wrong with my picture (hahaha) maybe I was meant to be a boy?
Thanks for your beloved comment too. Gave me warm fuzzies.
Have a good weekend

At the moment I am visiting my sister so I can borrow her computer to communicate with you all.
Health wise I am doing okay but still feel very tired. I'm not getting enough sleep due to excess thirst and toilet in the night. Diabetes is okay, I'm just thirsty alot. I think my body just wants to keep flushing the toxicins out.
It is full on at work and with the new principal I have been worried that I might be losing my job as a teacher aide with the special needs students. That has been stressing me out alot.
I have a one on one interview with him in 8 days time so I will find out what he intends for me.
At least I still have my job for next year but after that I don't know
Don't get me wrong as I like the new principal and love his passion for our students, but some special needs students will never be fully mainstreamed as they couldn't cope and the teachers woludn't be able to give them that extra time they need.
He has met one of our students and has decided to keep us open next year, but I am hoping that he will make it long term.
Although I  have not been 100%, I have continued to push myself by having my nieces around me. 18mths and 11 year old. Totally loved it, tired constantly but felt needed. Nothing boosts your morale than hugs and kisses from children.
I have so much running through my head that I want to tell you all but I don't know where to go next. In 9 days time I am heading up north with our school's maori club for a week. They will be learning about staying on a marae, fishing, eeling, make a hangi and performing at a country school.
I have got 4 special needs students in that. Four days after we come back then I am going on an overnight camp with just our special needs class so I am going to be knackered but happy
Lastly, I won't be posting as much until my computer comes home. It got a virus (hehehe like me) so its in the shop. I am missing it alot as I am getting better with my concentration but now my computer is not here.
Must sign off but take care of yourselves and I will try to log on at work computers when I can.
I just want you all to know that I am very much committed to our site and I will hope to be back on track very soon.
Take care

Thank you for your comment, Im gonna stick around just to see what you guys get up to.. hahaha
I have informed all my nurses, medical doctors, friends and family about emedinews but can not force them when they come on. Two of my nurses have visited but experienced problems that affected their computers so Im not sure if they will try again.
I must go but to you all out there... please add your comments/questions about Thalassaemia,
even your thoughts.
To anyone who has Thal or knows someone.. please add your comments about it like how does it make you feel, has it limited you or just anything. This would also be a good template for those who know someone to write how Thal affects their relationship like how they treat that someone with Thal.
Sometimes without knowing, you can actually hinder a Thal by the way you treat them.
Speaking from experience I am a strong person medically because of the way I was raised.
Just because I have Thal doesn't mean I get special treatment.

Hi everyone
I know that I have been away far too long and I hope to make it up to you all. hehe
My computer is finally fixed and virus free and now I am able to access the internet at home.
Never anytime at work.
I have been on two different camps with the students I work with with only 5 days reprieve between them so my body was pretty tired and after the last camp I did have water retention but its all good now.
I am excited for the new year as we have a new principal who is giving the room I work in a well earned face lift. We are actually getting a new kitchen and well needed storage cupboards. I am very excited as I have been told I have a job for next year. Each year I never know if there is a job for me so to find out now takes the stress off.
Im not proud to admit but I was a smoker. A bad habit I picked up in my teens.
I have been on a quit programme that uses patches and gum. I have been smoke free for over 3 weeks now which doesn't seem long but I am so proud of myself. I have even stopped the patches and only occasionally chew the gum.
I plan to stay smokefree as I owe myself this. I still socialise with my smoking friends as I gave up the smokes not my friends. The smoking doesnt bother me and I don't realise if people are smoking near me.
All in all I am very happy and content with myself and life in general. Now I'm really smiling as I think of what I have personally accomplished this year.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
