This information is unverified but seems to make sense...up to individual jurisdication - read on, and take it with a pinch of salt

1) Don’t smoke
- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).

2) Don’t take cold drinks
- before, during and immediate after meals as it reduces the temperature of our digestive system and causes oily stuff to freeze and clog up along the digestive passage.

3) Don’t eat fruits immediately
- Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.

4) Don’t drink tea
- Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

5) Don’t loosen your belt
- Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.

6) Don’t bathe
- Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

7) Don’t walk about
- People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

 Don’t sleep immediately
- The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

good intentions.
I do suggest quoting reliable references ie evidence-based medicine, since we should be accountable for the "advices" we provide.  Wink

noted & agreed, shinzui!  Wink

tatz y i added in that this' from a forwarded email...so 'avoid' at own risk. however, some of the don't does make sense, eg: exercising after a meal would redirect blood supply to skeletal muscle...making the process of digestion suboptimal.

I suggest  a better way to present this info would be to say "unverified but i think it makes sense, so take it with a pinch of salt". NOt that i'm being picky and nasty but clear and effective communication is important in practice. Helpful to avoid people using your own words against you. If you read back at your first post, it does seems like "here, take this rules and follow it", without a hint of doubt at all.
Cheers!

<a href="http://www.hewo.com/en/article.aspx?id=618"> Can I drink tea after a meal? </a>

Great information,I have also heard that never sit or sleep just after your food.Just walk around after having food,Its is the most healthy practice.Health is valuable,so take care about it.Sleeping right after food can put on weight and cholesterol on you.Remember that putting on weigh is that easy, but
reducing weight after being over weighted is hard!
