Passing out blood with stool can be a serious problem!!
May I ask you a few questions?

1. How old are you?
2. Is the blood at the beginning, mixed with stool or after the stool?
3. Do you experience any constipation or constipation with alternating diarrhoea?
4. Any history of piles?
5. Do you haver any abdominal pain?
6. Have you done any colonoscopy?
7. Any loss of weight / appetite?

The most important cause to be ruled out is cancer of the colon!! Patients usually have constipation, sometimes diarrhoea alternating with constipation. Some patients have anaemic symptoms like lethargy, tiredness, giddiness as a result of chronic bleeding. They will also have constitutional symptoms like loss of weight and loss of appetite.

Some benign causes are: piles, non-cancerous polyps, angiodysplasia (abnormal growth of blood vessels) or some worm infestation.

It is unlikely that you are having something serious like cancer. May be you have piles which typically bleed after stool. Smiley

hi there, i went to doctor few days ago and he gave me daflon-500 (2pills/meal/3times per day), but there's still blood in stool. But now i feel a wound-like cut in my anus, which i din realize was there before visiting the doc, and its painful, and there's blood from that wound. Should i go visit the doc again for any extra treatment or ill recover with daflon?

It seems that the cause of your per-rectal bleed is hemorrhoids (piles) since the doctor who is seeing you prescribed daflon to you.

Daflon cannot cure piles totally. The ultimate treatment for hemorrhoids is surgery (banding etc.) Therefore, it may be a good idea if you see a surgeon for further plans.

How often you have stool in your stool? Any constipation / diarrhoea? Any weight loss or appetite loss?

My husband had a really bad case of hemorrhoids and they were bleeding as well. We came across this treatment called 'H Miracle System'. This is the answer in treating hemorrhoids. It cleared the hemorrhoids in 4 days! Read my blog on at My Natural Hemorrhoid Treatment Story and you will see how well it worked for my husband and I.

Anytime you experience blood in your stools, you should see a doctor. Especially if the blood doesn't go away. Most times it is hemorrhoids or ulcers but it could be something more serious. I know my brother-in-law was having the same problem and he's going in for a colonoscopy to check his colon for any pollups or problems.

Rectal bleeding is often due to a small cut around the rectum and is only of concern if it is for prolonged periods of time. Rectal bleeding can also be due to hemorrhoids, enlarged veins in the lower portion of the anus or rectum. Some common symptoms associated with hemorrhoids are rectal bleeding, blood in the stool, pain during a bowel movement, anal itching. Yet rectal bleeding can be signs of more serious conditions that only a doctor can diagnose.
